The staff going above and beyond is commendable.
I was disappointed by the sushi quality. It didn't match the high price we paid. After a few disappointing dining experiences, we chose to eat elsewhere. The cocktail menu was limited and left us wanting more variety .

It was a prime choice for a brief visit in Kyoto with a reasonable price. The room was really comfortable and well-appointed. Try to explore nearby temples in the early mornings to avoid crowds.

A few things you should know
The calming design and attention to detail create a serene environment, capped off with scrumptious seasonal dishes for breakfast. The bar's cocktail experience is indeed a good treat!
Room service could use improvement, as some dishes fell short taste-wise. Don't forget to check the pricing before indulging in the restaurant.

The garden view from our beautiful room was enchanting. Daily breakfasts were a culinary delight, showcasing local flavors. The staff was genuinely attentive, especially at the spa where the treatments were soothing.
The sushi restaurant was quite overpriced for the quality offered, and an expanded cocktail menu would enhance the dining experience.

The staff greeted us warmly. The design throughout the hotel exuded sophistication, especially in the lobby and garden area. I loved the spaciousness of the Beautiful King Room. The spa treatments were heavenly and left me completely relaxed, and I appreciated the really good in-room breakfast service that offered both local and international dishes. One morning, I tried the matcha pancakes. They were a standout! The sushi restaurant didn't meet expectations. The quality didn't align with the high price, especially when I've had better sushi experiences elsewhere. An expanded cocktail menu would also have made our evenings more enjoyable. Despite these dining issues, I'd definitely revisit for the lovely atmosphere and service.
